Hi everyone! I can't lie it is nerve-wracking publishing my first professional website online. Despite my nerves, I am incredibly excited for the potential growth and development of this website, and my professional career. I began my M.S. in Educational Leadership in late September after graduating from Cornell College with an undergraduate degree in May. I am wrapping up my first class later this week and am already pleasantly surprised about the content we are learning and how it applies to us as professional educators. I can’t wait to continue my journey in education and support others in their journey to success.
Transitioning from summer back to school can be tough for some students, what are some tips you have to support students at the beginning of the school year?

Hi Sam! I recently graduated from the University of California Los Angeles with a degree in business and education. I believe we should introduce the core characteristics of a student we expect early ion the year. This includes teaching them "real-life" skills such as responsibility, accountability, and leadership. Nice post!

When speaking about the future of education, it is important to remember that not everyone has the same objectives as you. People define success differently therefor it is important all members within a school district communicate directly and often. Instilling self-efficacy in students at the beginning of the year helps prevent class management problems later on, as students know what behavior is expected from them. Thanks!
